Star Wars Takes The Sky with All Nippon Airways!
All Nippon Airways’ (ANA), in conjunction with the Walt Disney Company, will start to fly three aircraft outfitted with everything Star Wars. For the next five years these three jets will be decorated with the Star Wars logos and three different designs. The first design is based off of the famous R2-D2 robot will be donned by the new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner jet. The next aircraft, a Boeing 777-300ER will be showcasing a BB-droid robot design and the the third jet, a Boeing 737-300 will be painted with franchise’s brand. As well, across the entire ANA international fleet, the first six films in the Star Wars series will be available for viewing. All of these jets will take to the skies before this December’s release of Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens.
ANA, Japan’s largest Airline, will release the flight schedules for the planes at a latter date. it is expected that one of the planes will serve the Vancouver to Haneda Airport route for several weeks in 2016 before it starts flying to other international destinations. (source)
